The analysis of the internal procedures of the State Prosecutorial Council, existing legal and financial management software solutions in other countries, prepared project team, preceded the preparation of an information system for financial and human resources management for the State Prosecutorial Council and the Ministry of Justice.
The analysis shows that the tasks of financing the prosecutorial system (planning, management, supervision) in the Republic of Serbia are divided between the Ministry of Justice and the State Prosecutorial Council. In order to digitize and automate the process of planning and monitoring of budget execution, the recommendation of the experts who prepared the Analysis is to develop an information system that will be used by the State Prosecutorial Council and other relevant public prosecutor's offices. In this way, the process of planning and monitoring of budget execution will be even more transparent.
The aim of this analysis, as well as the information system, is to improve financial management and audit, i.e., to establish automated business procedures of the State Prosecutorial Council and Public Prosecutor's Offices related to budgeting / spending / reporting on financial resources, including establishing an internal cost control system.
